Memorial Day

Memorial Day commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. It is a holiday many of us spend doing family gatherings, backyard BBQs or enjoying a nice evening out with friends and family. However we choose to celebrate Memorial Day in Atlanta GA, we do so by honoring those who have lost their lives for our great freedoms. Some things to do on Memorial Day 2013.
  1. Stone Mountain Park:  Laser show on the Memorial Lawn at 9:30 P.M.  Take advantage of the long weekend to play during the day and honor America's soldiers by night.  Enjoy unlimited access to ALL of Stone Mountain's attractions including:  Sky Hike, Journey to the End of the Earth 4D, Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf, Camp Highland outpost, the scenic train ride, the Summit Sky Ride, the Antebellum Plantation & Farmland.  ALL active and military personnel will receive one FREE adventure pass with valid I.D., and will save up to $10.00 off immediate family members and will receive 20% off food and merchandise.  Offer only on Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-28, 2013).  Park admission is not included.
  2. Atlanta Jazz Festival:  May 25-27, 2013
Don't miss the fun and excitement at the annual Atlanta Jazz Festival in Piedmont Park, one of the country's largest FREE jazz festivals. During the entire month of May, more than 100 of the best jazz performers showcase their talents in venues throughout the metro area before coming together in a huge weekend celebration at Piedmont Park. The festival showcases local and national jazz greats, a neighborhood jazz series, youth jazz band competition, a kids zone and many other family-friendly activities.
  3. Go to the families house and grill out and have fun and stay safe.
