Our bathroom

We got one bathroom completed and one to go.  My hubby tiled the floor and it looks so good.  We had to repaint too.  I'm looking forward to doing the other one.  My hubby wants to take out the shower and bathtub and do one huge shower.  Sounds good.  We will repaint that one too.  Its going to take a little more time than the first one did, but it will be fun and exciting to see how it turns out.     

GO BRAVES GO!!

So tonight we went to the Atlanta braves game and got our Dale Murphy bobble head.  I was so excited to go to this game.  When I was a little girl I had the biggest crush on Dale Murphy.  But that crush didn't last a long long time.  After my Dale Murphy crush I had a crush on another former Brave.  He would be Steve Avery.  By then I was a teenager.  But back to the game.  The Braves won 6-5.  I don't get to go to their games often but when I do I have the best time.   I did get a picture of Heyward practicing,  I'll post it later.  Go Braves!!   

An update on a blog posted in May 2013

In an earlier blog I wrote about a family I read about from Ga.  They were expecting a baby, who had a neural tube defect.  I just read that little Ethan was born on June 19, 2013 and this precious baby lived for 21 minutes before going to rest in Heaven with our Heavenly Father.  Our thoughts and prayers are with this family. 

Food

For the past couple of days I have been craving papaya salad.  I love this stuff.  It's so good and right at this moment I know I can't eat it, but I sure am thinking about eating some.  Another thing I love is neck soup, but I use smoked turkey legs instead of the smoked neck bone.  Its so good too. Gotta have sticky rice.  My family loves it.  Yum this sounds so good right now.  To bad my belly won't agree.  So I guess I'll just have to stick to chicken noodle soup, and ginger ale.   

My boys

I love being a mother to my awesome sons.  I love them with all my heart.  I am so proud of them and I thank God for them everyday.  I am so proud of them.  They are so sweet and have so much respect.  They love the Lord.  They go to church every Sunday.  I pray they will always trust in the Lord always!!  We love fishing, bowling, video games, and playing sports.  They are both great bass fishermen.  They both are so smart.  Just the other day my youngest son said, "momma I remember when I was little you would read to me at night time before I went to bed, but I always would fall asleep, then he goes on to say that was just rude to fall asleep while you were reading to me".  I said, "no it wasn't rude, sometimes reading makes people sleepy".  My boys are so thoughtful and they anything to help me in anything I need help with.  I love them with all my heart and I am so blessed to have them.

Hubby home!!

My husband is home and is doing well.  He still has some pain and some gas pain.  Its crazy cuz its like I'm having all his gas symptoms (not fun).  We both been eating on Tums.  He has got to do a lot of walking, so we've been walking up and down our road.  He wanted to go to Wal-Mart, so we were there for about 2 hours.  He got in a lot of walking today, but he still has to take it easy for about 8-12 weeks  So that means no lifting over 5 lbs, no exercises, no pulling, tugging, or to much straining, no work and NO IBUPROFEN EVER!!!!!  Basically all he can do is sit and walk.  Oh yeah and he has to take in deep breathes so his lungs will be strong.   Poor guy, but he's an awesome guy!! 

My hubby, my hero!!

As I sit here in this hospital and listen to the sounds of the equipment I thank God my husband is doing good.  I pray that the person receiving his kidney has no problems and her body accepts her new kidney.  It broke my heart today when they brought my hubby to his room.  He was breathing hard and in so much pain.  I did ask him if he was ready to do it again, he said, "no".  Then I asked him if he had it to do over would he?  He paused for a few seconds and said,  "yes".  What a great gift he gave to someone else to help them have a normal life without all the machines involved in kidney failure.  He is sleeping at the moment and his mouth is so dry.  Poor guy, earlier all he could do was get sick.  Not good with all the cutting, stitches, and glue.  I pray everything goes good with him and that he has a normal life without one of his kidneys.  He's one of the best people I know and I am thankful his heart is like it is today.  So thoughtful, caring and giving.  I'm proud of the Christian man he has become.  I thank God for him and I will always love and cherish him.  Keep him in prayer.  Thank yall!!
